Impact Edmonton allows the League to meet short-term needs in the community within the focus area of children, youth and families at risk. In 1997 and 1998, the League hosted a Community Literacy Carnival at St. Patrick School in collaboration with other agencies, including Success by 6®. In 2000/01, the League collaborated with CAPITAL CARE Lynnwood, the Friendship Guild, Habitat for Humanity Edmonton, Norwood Child & Family Resource Centre, WIN House and the Youth Emergency Shelter Society. In 2001/02, the League collaborated with All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Big Sister & Big Brother Society of Edmonton & Area, Bissell Centre, CAPITAL CARE Lynnwood, City West Childcare & Community Support Society, Friends of the C & E Station, Kara Family Support Centre, Mill Woods P.A.T.C.H. Place Society, New Parents Program, Northeast Teen Centre and St. Albert Senior Citizens' Club. In 2003/04, the League collaborated with Operation Friendship Housing Society, Terra Association, WINGS of Providence Society and the Youth Emergency Shelter Society (YESS).
