The film Drugs Are Like That was purchased from the Junior League of Miami in 1971. Students in 160 classes were shown the film in 1972, when it was introduced as a project. The project was renamed Youth Education in 1975, with emphasis shifting toward decision-making. Youth Education was terminated in 1977 when the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission agreed to continue the project.
